Thoughts

i-manila (our internet server connection thingy) chose to take its anger out on me and zonked when i needed it the most. but now its back to normal:D

last sunday night we went to GCF's living christmas tree concert. it was for me an attempt to get into the holiday spirit, just to inhibit a little yuletide glee. and it was successful i would say. :D people singing christmas carols from 'inside' a christmas tree just never fails to create that warm fuzzy christmasy feeling. (haha) mom pointed out that we were at a living christmas tree concert in america on the same day last year! LOL. that one even had fake snow inside the church! (it was soap suds :D)

on wednesday we went to FEBC, dad's old office. i was able to use the computer for a while, though i want able to do anything productive. we watched 'remember the titans' halfway, and we're gonna finish it next time, hopefully. (:

thursday i was roused by my handphone, a message from my dad at 7:52 AM. and you know what the message contained? PAE results! im going to SA science stream!!!:D

on the same day we visited all the lolos and lolas at maalindog. yana and sevi were there. :D i was able to play with their tamagochi!!! hehehe. i totally want one! i hope my sister gets me one from japan. if not, i can just buy one from here i guess. MUHAHA!

yesterday we visited tita nanette at the hospital. i hated the smell. i hate hospital smells. at least tita nanette's room wasn't so bad coz there was a FIESTA in her room! there was gallons of FOOD on the table, and so we had our lunch there. we had mangoes too, and they were SO SWEET. if you haven't tasted philippines mangoes yet.... TB! (too bad) haha.

afterwards we went to balikbayan handicrafts and mom and lola totally splurged. haha! we left with about 6 shopping bags in hand. i even tried to carry them all to look like those shopping spree shoppers with 3 or 4 bags in each hand, strutting their stuff. LOL. but obviously it was a failed attempt because people looked at me with pity. HAHA! the security guard even told me that i should probably sit down first on a bench nearby while waiting. :P

for dinner we celebrated lolo and lola's wedding anniversary. we went to pancake house again. the service was, er, bad. i guess.. but the food was good:D that was the second time we ate there.

anyway i've put on weight. visibly. i think. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

today we went to imus for the second time as well. it was lola sylvia's 91st birthday. there was food again.. and restlessness during the close to 2-hour drive. haha! but it was kind of fun listening to my iPod the whole way, as well as recordings of us kids when we were young. did you know i used to pronounce an "L" sound as a "Y" sound. haha! and my laugh was SO FUNNY! it was weird, too. actually, thats what made it funny. :P

on our way home we were hungry already and restless too. so we stopped at the baywalk along roxas boulevard and had dinner there. it was nice and breezy, though at some point it smelled fishy. haha! there was live entertainment in that whole stretch of restaurants. some hard rock and noisy while others jazzy and relaxing.. it was cool looking at all the lights around, it adding to my festive mood. :D

anyway there are days when i'm stuck at home as well.. and all i can do is watch tv or beat the high scores in pinball on the computer. haha! :D but still, there's no place like home for the holidays. for no matter how far away i roam.. when i long for the sunshine of a friendly gaze, for the holidays i cant be home sweet home. (lol, you know the song!)

dad and buh are coming on tuesday! yay! im sure they cant wait to travel the bumpy roads and hear the incessant horn-honking in the middle of traffic jams here. plus its their turn to gain some weight. :D MUHAHA. oh, and they can see the fireworks that have been coming on at 10 every night nearby! gonna be catching it soon, actually. :D im such a sucker for fireworks! HAHA! i just love it:D
