the FATS of life

leadership conference today!(: it was really motivational and overall full of insights. i woke up at around 7 am, took a shower (it was soooo uberdy COLD even though i bathed in HOT water!), had an egg for breakfast and walked with my sis down to the bus stop.

guess what? i missed the bus! haha! but it wasn't my fault! thought i would be late, but i wasn't. i was assigned to CLINIC B, GROUP 8. when i entered the hall, i was ushered to my seat by lexy and chans! :D then hung out with sanya, banu and xinyue for the first part of the conference. it was a talk by Mr Khoo Swee Chiow on daring to dream. he climbed everest and did lotsa other adventurous stuff, too. SO KEWL!

next was TEA BREAK for an HOUR!(: had sanwiches. searched around for other group 8-ers, but to no avail. i saw this one girl though from another school. haha! after eating, proceeded to the performing arts studio for the clinic session- a talk by Mr Barney Lau, from Microsoft. he talked about the "FATS" of life- Faithful, Available, Teachable and Stickable. the talk was purely motivational and inspiring. i really admire him a lot a lot a lot..

after the (around) 2 hours session, it was LUNCHTIME! :D the food was... satisfactory, i would say. eunice and i noticed there was a big diff in the amount of food piled on the girls plates vs the guys plates. haha:D

i finally found another person from group8! CLARISSA GAN!!! :D HAHA! she was my facilitator. next up was the student forum, where we got into groups and discussed and shared about our leadership experiences. it was kind of awkward, really. our group was.. one of the more quiet ones. but clarissa did a good job! :D

after the forum, we got back together and listened to Mr Martin Tan talk more about leadership. everyone seemed hyped and more enthusiastic. st margs girls started screaming, etc. :D

i went home after that, in the blistering SUN. it was soooooooooooooooo HOT!
