DAY 0.5

flight was at 4.50pm, was slightly delayed and my siblings and i decided to camp on the airport floor. my first time! i think. here was wednesday's pretty sunset from the plane (: i've more pictures, but these will do. towards the end the horizon reminded me of the opening scene from lion king- blazing red sky!

for some reason, we always end up sitting near the plane's wings!

the drive home was dark and starry. i was in awe the first time i gazed up at the sky from the car window! its been really long since i saw so many stars! and so bright! i was happy. haha (:

DAY 1

we basically just shopped? and visited my other grandma over lunch :D stopped by the cake shop to order cake for friday night's occasion! gosh the cakes were drool-inducing! HAHAHA.

played some mahjong, and only won once?


DAY 2

the morning was spent at home (/in bed, actually, grrr!) and the afternoon spent completing my grandfathers scrapbook in a mad rush. yeah, i didn't have enough time to fill in the 20 pages! \: that night........

HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY! :D

here's a picture my relatives (mostly)! since they've never appeared here before.

so there was a programme and everything. we sang "how great thou art", one of my grandfather's favourite hymns, in 3 parts! i was the tenor HAHA!!! because my brother and mum sang the melody and my sister was the alto! (: daddy didnt come with us he had a conference!

there was a lot of foooooooooooooooooooood :D

this naughty little boy here had horns that night. his hair was totally going all curly on him, and there was a profound one or two sticking out at the sides! dont know if it was a bad hair day or what..? but i think he just couldn't tame his wild hair.

gibby took his tie off and said "i look like a waiter!" excitedly in my face! took me a split-second to recognise where (what song) that line was from! hahaha so funny!

and then i put his tie on. :P

i touched my very first blackberry. doesnt seem that great? though we received a picture/birthday greeting from daniel all the way from Virginia! :D

DAY 3

pictures of the outside of my grandparents house. it looks more and more forest-y everytime! and i forgot to photograph the home-grown durians! or was it not in season?

drove to cavite to visit my grandfathers sisters (age 93 and 89). we didnt visit the rest of the clan there.. not enough time! thankfully we didnt need to squeeze 6 people into a 5-seater car anymore! i would have died- the drive was long!

it looked prettier than i remember! i think it was because of the warm afternoon sun and the season of spring (:

the grass shot was me feeling bored coz my bro and sis decided to play a game for TWO!

the driveway was littered with all these white and fushia petals! when the breeze swayed the plants overhead, the petals would just fall to the ground like at a wedding or something and gosh it felt like a dream.

that night was our last there.. too soon, as always ): the sun set pretty nicely again, just like i asked it to! haha.. and as we drove home i watched the sun set, the moon rise and planes take off into the horizon (:
