post Christmas pre New Year

the bulk of the last month of 2008 was spent sick in bed. or so it felt.. Christmas passed so quickly and tomorrow's already the last day of the year! i just read my dec 2007 archives, again, and it was evidently much busier that this year. but in more ways than one, i prefer this birthday and Christmas over any in the past 18 years!

27th december - SASI dinner @ shokudo

incidentally, my sister was dinnering at shokudo too, but at the one in city hall. i was the earliest to arrive at heeren! was really proud of myself coz i arrived at 6.30 on the dot (: i think one of my new year's resolutions is to be (more) punctual!

huiqi came second! took photo at the toilet before heading to the restaurant. i've no pics with the guys to upload. we did take neoprints though.. our meetups are so rare!

the food was not bad! it was actually the very first meal since the throat infection. i have to admit i didn't really want to eat too much coz i'd shed some weight during my sickness.. what a waste to regain them kilos so soon, right? (;

mango dessert topped with honeydew ice cream :D the ice cream was nice!

zj just got back from hongkong a couple days back. he got Christmas scarves for the girls and a marshmallow santa pop for everyone! thanks zj! :D

28th december

after church, we had a spontaneous family mini-outing. was talking with my dad about spontaneity the other day and i guess he was trying to.. be spontaneous? LOL. so we drove to the new marina barrage. there's not much to see yet, actually, just the view of the flyer etc.

the noontime sun caused blistering heat, but the strong breeze was enough to convince me and gibby to climb up the ramp to take these photos!

30th december

went over to huilin's place after lunch! first time there! :D i was early, by the way! yay! walked around whampoa while waiting for gen to arrive. ended up going to ntuc to buy stuff for making sushi! HAHA! here's the final (failed) product. well at least it got us full (:

went to catch the 4.30 twilight showing at toa payoh. gen treated coz was broke ): thanks genevieve! :D movie was disappointing.

loan came for dinner afterwards! she and cindy are busy working, while the remaining masses members are bumming around!

dinnered at pastamania! i came to realise how much gen, huilin and i were bumming about when our conversation started revolving around our odd sleeping and waking hours! sigh. i don't know what to say. haha!

all in all it was good to see them again, loan especially! to loan, sorry i haven't invited you to my new house yet.! we'll remember to email you about ** *******! (must not be mentioned!)

on the way home i missed the bus ): got accused of making up the same "excuse" when i came home later than supposed \: at least huilin waited at the bus stop with me.
