concert!

i don't know where to start! so many things happened in just one night, my mind is filled with random thoughts and images from last night.! haha okay, let's start from the beginning.

1300 i went home straight after school to bathe and prepare my concert stuff

1530 reached school again, bummed in the AVA and looked through my scores.

1600 walk through in our court shoes D: oh my it was painful ): and i was wearing PE shorts and didn't bring my school skirt so it looked o_O funnaye hahahha.

1700 got changed in the 3rd floor toilet outside photocopy room. lol \m/ had to rush for time, the security person was gonna lock the staircases.
1730 warm-ups and rehearsal with mr tay. in court shoes again ): but we were allowed to take them off sometimes.
1845 dinner! which was more like 5 bites of the not-good-for-throat food + fruits
1925 final run through. started getting nervous by now.

1945 gathered backstage, fixed make-up, toilet, etc., all the last-minute stuff.

2015 (i think?) concert started!!! : D when i stepped onto stage my legs were totally wobbly. for the first time in my life, it really felt like my knees were gonna buckle any second and i would just collapse onstage. haha i wonder if anyone noticed : p

so the lights dimmed, music started and everything just kinda flowed [: after the first half was a mad rush to change and get into our positions. high school musical was over in, it seemed, a couple of seconds. everything was just BOOM BOOM BAM BAM DONE! HAHAHAHA.

concert was such a great experience. i think the song says it all. "we're all in this together", and we all made it through everything together. the late-night rehearsals, polishing our notes, rhythm, everything. and especially the long hours spent choreographing (good job J1s!!) and practicing our dance steps (special thanks to shiping btw! : D GO WILDCATS hahaha.) good job everyone, thanks to you i'm a happy girl : D I LOVE SAJCHORALE TO BITS. now i don't think i feel like stepping down in june ):

anyway i just wanna thank everybody who came, i hope you all enjoyed yourselves and that the $7 was worth it. i know you all said it was really short and all, but i hope you guys don't regret coming [: from the bottom of my heart, i was really touched to see everyone come up to the stage to give flowers and just say hi. it really made me so happy to see that you had come and supported choir : D oh and sorry if any of you felt left out or anything since i didn't really get to talk to everyone \: had to bounce around within such a short period of time.

thanks to the J3s for their help ushering and everything, elroy for the shouts in response to joining choir : D haha. we miss all of you loads!

thanks to my dad who changed his flight schedule to come for the concert : D oh and what happened to your luggage, i didn't see it haha. sorry i didn't go to send you off to the airport afterwards.

thanks mom, karissa and gibby for the carnations [: they're so.. pink? lol : D gibby i know you loved west side story wahahaha. and karissa, i'll never forgive myself for asking you to bring the camera and not reminding you! \: anyway i just realised, what happened to your friends i thought they were coming o_O LOL.

thanks MASSES liphin, gen, cindy (and ed!), huilin, loan (from the AVA room! : D) for coming!!! thanks for the two pretty sunflowers! they're already brightening my dull day : D

thanks SASI liphin (again), zj, glen and huiqi for coming : D i'm sure being back in the SA brought back memories of PAE.? i still miss those days with you guys around. thanks for the sunflower! i know you guys know i love yellow flowers [: meet up some more okay!!!

thanks HEADBANGERS evan and anglia for making it [: you guys have never failed to come for all the concerts i've had so far, thanks a BOMB : D hope you guys won't break the trend LOL. there's still VIVA VOX 3 III in may! ; p thanks for the orange orchids!!! they'll last the longest dont worry. just like how you guys have been my friends the longest, which i'm eternally grateful for. : D

after the adrenaline sort of ran out, went for supper with sasi AND headbangers. had a lot of trouble decidin where to go. trust me its TWICE as difficult deciding anything when half the people only know half the people in the group and especially you're the one connecting the two. anyway we ended up in MOS burger in toa payoh, saw a lot of other choir people there [:
