sunset

i think im geting more and more attached to the colour RED.

gibby just left for the airport a few minutes ago- he's off to shanghai! haha, kewl. (: still can't fully comprehend why my parents allowed him to go, at such a young age. even i haven't been on an overseas trip without them! haha.

first things first, i woke up at 9 AM yesterday. why? i was really nervous. you see, IT tends to compare me with some people who get 10 points for their O levels and a shiny star on the wall. he compares me so much that the first thing he mentions is that he saw her star on the wall. great, huh?

i was so jittery on the way there, actually. i wanted to tell my mom what to do and what not to do. but i decided i'd just let nature take it's course, i remember thinking, ignoring the fact that my palms were producing buckets of sweat and that my heart was pounding against my chest like a large, heavy drum.

and so i did, let nature take it's course i mean, and it really didn't turn out all that bad. really.

so, as i munch on my kinder bueno (green with envy, are we?), i don't know what to say. except that the future, for me, is bleak. and that 23 points'll never get me anywhere. and that there's a really bumpy road ahead of me, and i haven't yet turned the keys of my car, i don't want to start revving the engine :'(

by the way, the sunset today was beautiful!

***
Sunset

Every night
The horizon lights up
Swirls of pink and orange
Fading to blue and purple

Few bother to look anymore
At a blessing
That only comes once a day

Each sunset is different
No two exactly alike
Difference flows throughout
While it is the only similarity

Over the ocean
Or through the sky scrapers
Out on the prairie
Or in an apartment

You can still see a piece
A piece of something
Something never to return
A sunset

For the colors are shimmering
For a moment they stay
Only to disappear into change
Change just as beautiful as the last

This is why
No matter where you go
One thing remains the same,
A difference in sunsets
In your very own sunset
