my birthday

this is gonna be a really long post. im gonna talk about what i did on my birthday though its been more than a week already.

woke up at 6 am, i think- still jetlag. after breakfast, everyone (my whole family) decided to walk teddy around and get some exercise for ourselves too. (were getting fat!!!) we decided to walk teddy outside the neighbourhood and in the streets.. i was having tummy cramps that day, so i didn't hold teddy's leash, which is a good thing...

you see, teddy has this weird thing for cars.. he always chases them and SNORTS LIKE A PIG!!! haha. since we were out on the streets that day, there were a lot of cars. my sis was holding the leash when teddy just suddenly jerked and ran like crazy....

and so he escaped. he was running towards this car on the road.. and my mom and sister kept screaming "TEDDY!!!!!!!!" so was i.. and we started running and panicking and basically going insane. an oncoming car was fast-moving and teddy was bounding towards it!!! it was so traumatising!!! but, thankfully the car stopped just in time.

still, teddy was on the loose. and we were still screaming his name. the cars around all stopped and slowed down becuase they saw us to frantic. we reached an intersection, and teddy was still running really fast. the cars were stopping for him to cross.. there was this guy who pulled up and got out of his car to help us chase teddy. but teddy was too fast for anyone. the guy even like dove to catch teddy, but ended up rolling in the grass.

thankfully, he ran right through the gate of our neighbourhood. so we knew at least that he was not very far away. the whole village had gates, so he couldn't get out unless a car was there. it was really scary.. my heart was thumping so loud! dad went back to the house to get the car and search for teddy, while my bro and sis and i went through the streets. after walking a lot, there was still no sign of teddy. we saw the car coming towards us, and rode with the rest. and guess what? TEDDY WAS STANDING BY THE DOOR, waiting for us to come....

so, that was exciting, but really scary. (: after the teddy incident, went to the mall. and ate panda express!!! yay. bought something and went home. took a nap since it was like 7 am in singapore. woke up and for dinner had steak with mashed potatoes and macaroni salad. it was yummy! got uber full, and then blew my cake (courtesy of karissa :p) went out for ice cream at cold stone after. and i have another story...

it was really cold when we were going there, and we still bought ice cream. lol. anyway, somehow the ice cream maker dude knew it was my birthday (tito bobby told i think, becuase the guy asked). so he said, he'll make my ice cream last. he said "make" because you're supposed to choose the ice cream flavour then add all sorts of stuff like kitkat and reese's bars or chocolate chips or butterfinger or cookie dough or anything.. my brother got gumballs! ew.

anyway, i ordered this cookie dough thingy. when my sisters order was take, the guy was like holding it for a long time, and talking to the other staff members... my sister was suspicious why they were stalling and stuff, and said that maybe they thought that she was the birthday girl. haha. but no one did anything about it...

the guy went inside to the kitchen place or whatever, and then suddenly all the staff popped back out.. and there was a candle on top of the ice cream! then they started singing this song they made. it goes:

EVEN THOUGH WE SING FOR FREE
(something, something) SING OFF-KEY!

i forgot that part. but anyway, it was a bit embarrasing. so i had to accept my sister's ice cream, which was all apple-y. i pretended to be eating it, to spare the staff from knowing they made a mistake.

so that's what i did on my birthday!
